Eel breeding technologyPeople who grew up in the countryside must be familiar with eels. This aquatic creature looks like a snake, but in fact, its meat is very delicious, rich in nutrition, and has certain medicinal value. It is a popular tonic aquatic product on the table. Eels have strong vitality, are easy to transport, and can be put on the market alive. The development of artificial breeding of eels has certain market prospects. The artificial breeding technology of eels is briefly described as follows: it mainly includes the construction of eel ponds, the selection and stocking of eel seedlings, artificial feeding and daily management. 1. Construction of eel ponds Eels have a strong adaptability to the environment. Some abandoned water bodies that are not suitable for breeding other fish and puddles and ponds that are not suitable for growing crops can be used as eel ponds. You can also choose a place with sufficient water, ventilation, and sunlight to build an eel pond. The best eel pond is rectangular from east to west, with a depth of about 1m. The area depends on the scale of breeding, generally 20~50m2. The bottom, walls and gaps around the eel pond must be tightly blocked to prevent the eels from escaping. The eel pond must have an inlet, an outlet and an overflow port for discharging sewage, changing water and preventing the eels from escaping when the pond water level rises during heavy rain. Each outlet must be equipped with anti-escape facilities. In order to facilitate the growth of yellow eels, we can artificially imitate the natural environment where yellow eels live, such as throwing stones, tree roots in the pond or planting aquatic plants such as lotus in the pond. 2. Selection and release of eel fry At present, in the artificial breeding of yellow eels, the free-range yellow eel fry selected must be harmless, disease-free, healthy, and smooth, preferably golden yellow. Generally, about 80 eel fry per kilogram are selected. If the size of the eel fry is too small, it will affect its food intake and weight gain, so it cannot be harvested that year. The released eel fry must be of uniform size and size. Remember to mix the sizes together to prevent cannibalism. Stocking density, 100 eel fry weighing about 10 grams can be stocked per square meter. Stocking eel fry in early spring has a better effect, which is conducive to early feeding of eels and prolonging the growth period. Third, artificial feeding Bijin Yellow eel is a carnivorous omnivorous fish with a wide range of food sources. Such as small fish and shrimp, earthworms, animal offal and leftovers, snail meat, rice, melon peel, vegetable scraps, etc. Yellow eel should be fed at regular times, fixed points, fixed quality, and fixed quantities. That is, eels are generally fed after dusk, and a fixed place is set up to feed eels, which is conducive to fixed-point feeding of eels, convenient for us to observe the feeding situation of eels, and clean up residual bait. The bait should be fresh and alive. The daily food intake of yellow eel is about 6% of the body weight of yellow eel. When feeding, it should be adjusted appropriately according to the eating situation of yellow eel the day before, and it is advisable to have a little surplus after feeding. Do not feed yellow eel for a long time or a short time, otherwise it will affect the growth of yellow eel. Building an eel pond Rice field eels have a strong adaptability to the environment. Some abandoned water bodies that are not suitable for breeding other fish and puddles and ponds that are not suitable for growing crops can be used as eel ponds. You can also choose a place with sufficient water, good ventilation and sunshine to build an eel pond. The best eel pond is a rectangular one running from east to west, with a depth of about 1 meter. The area depends on the scale of breeding, and is generally 20 to 50 square meters. The bottom, walls and surrounding gaps of the eel pond must be blocked tightly to prevent the eels from escaping. Eel ponds must have an inlet, a drain and an overflow to drain sewage, change water and prevent fish from escaping when the pond water rises during heavy rain. Fish-blocking facilities must be installed at each water outlet. To facilitate the growth of eels, artificial natural environments can be created for eels to inhabit, such as placing stones and tree roots in the pond or planting aquatic plants such as lotus in the pond. Artificial feeding Rice field eel is an omnivorous fish that is mainly carnivorous and has a wide range of food sources. Such as small fish and shrimps, earthworms, animal offal and leftovers, tadpoles, silkworm pupae, snail meat, rice, melon peels, vegetable scraps, etc. The feeding of eels must be done at regular times, in designated locations, with regular quality and quantity. That is: generally feed the eels after dusk, set up a fixed place as the eel feeding ground for feeding, which is conducive to the eels eating at fixed points, convenient for us to observe the eels eating situation and clean up the remaining bait; the bait put in must be fresh, live bait; the daily feeding amount is about 6% of the eel's weight. When feeding, make appropriate adjustments based on the eel's eating situation the day before, so that there is a little surplus after feeding. When feeding the eel, you must not feed it more or less at times, or stop feeding at times, otherwise it will affect the growth of the eel. How to remove the fishy smell from eelsYou can add appropriate amount of shredded ginger to remove the fishy smell. For example, steamed eel, the specific method is as follows, first prepare the ingredients: eel: 500 grams, ginger: appropriate amount, shallot: appropriate amount, cooking wine: appropriate amount, salt: appropriate amount, sugar: appropriate amount, cooking oil: appropriate amount. 1. Wash the eel with clean water, cut into sections and set aside. Wash and cut the ginger into shreds and set aside. 2. Place the eel in a clean, water-free container, then place the shredded ginger on the eel. 3. Pour in an appropriate amount of cooking wine, then pour in a little cooking oil, and sprinkle with an appropriate amount of sugar. 4. Pour an appropriate amount of clean water into the steamer, put the eel into the steamer, and steam it for 10 minutes. 5. After 10 minutes, sprinkle with appropriate amount of chopped green onion and continue steaming for 5 minutes. Then you can serve Bu Huzhou. Adding ginger slices and cooking wine can remove the fishy smell. Here is how to make steamed eel: Main ingredient: 1 eel Accessories: oil, salt, pepper, steamed fish soy sauce, green onion, chicken essence, cooking wine 1. Prepare an eel. 2. Remove the head and intestines and wash clean. 3. Chop the green onion and ginger. 4. Arrange the dish and put ginger on it. 5. Add a spoonful of cooking wine. 6. Sprinkle with appropriate amount of salt. 7. Sprinkle a small amount of pepper powder. 8. Sprinkle with green onions. 9. Sprinkle with chicken essence. 10. Drizzle with a little steamed fish soy sauce. 11. Steam for 20 minutes. 12. A mature and powerful product. Introduction to river eel knowledge: Eels are collectively called eels, which are divided into river eels and sea eels. They have a slender body, a cylindrical front and slightly flattened back. They have a medium-sized head, small eyes, and a pointed and flat mouth. The lower jaw is longer than the upper jaw, and the scales are small and buried under the skin, arranged in a storiform pattern. The anus and tail fins are connected, the pectoral fins are small and round, and there are no pelvic fins. The back of the body is black and gray, and the abdomen is white. They are born in the sea and can swim upstream to live in fresh water. After maturity, they return to the sea to lay eggs. They are rich in nutrition and have tender meat. They belong to the phylum Vertebrata, class Pisces, order Anguilliformes, family Anguillidae. Eels have a slender body, up to 60CM, with a cylindrical front and flattened back. They spawn in the sea and grow in rivers. They are migratory fish from rivers to the sea. Nutritional analysis of river eels: 1. Eels are rich in various nutrients, and have the effects of nourishing blood, removing dampness, and resisting tuberculosis. They are a good nutritional product for patients with long-term illness, weakness, anemia, tuberculosis, etc. 2. Eels contain a very rare protein called Xiheluo protein, which has a good effect of strengthening sperm and kidneys. It is a health food for young couples and middle-aged and elderly people; 3. Eel is a fishery rich in calcium. Regular consumption can increase blood calcium levels and strengthen the body. 4. Eel liver is rich in vitamin A and is an excellent food for people suffering from night blindness. 1. Suitable for people with long-term illness, internal organ deficiency, anemia, night blindness, tuberculosis, women with leucorrhea, children with malnutrition, children with roundworms, hemorrhoids and rectal prolapse; especially suitable for the elderly, the weak and young couples; 2. People with chronic diseases and a history of allergies to aquatic products, weak spleen and kidney after illness, cough with a lot of sputum, and spleen deficiency diarrhea should avoid eating it. Eel dietary effects: Eel tastes sweet, is neutral in nature, and enters the lung, kidney, and spleen meridians; It has the effects of tonifying deficiency, strengthening body, removing dampness and killing insects, nourishing blood, and resisting tuberculosis; It is suitable for people with chronic illness, internal organ deficiency, anemia, tuberculosis, women's collapse and leucorrhea, children's malnutrition, children's roundworms, hemorrhoids and prolapse of the anus. Eel food incompatibility: Eel should not be eaten with vinegar and ginkgo. Eel cooking instructions: 1. Eel meat is fat and delicious, and can be fried, braised, stir-fried, steamed, stewed, and made into soup; such as braised eel, grilled eel, etc. 2. The dried eel meat is called jerky eel. It can be soaked in water and cut into strips and put into soup. It tastes good. The best jerky eel is produced in the coastal areas of Zhejiang. If you don't soak it in water, add Shaoxing wine, scallion knots, and ginger slices, steam it in a steamer for 15 minutes, then remove the skin and bones, and it will taste even better. 3. Eel contains a lot of fat. If you eat it with eel rice cooked with strong sauce, it will often cause excessive intake of fat. If you care about your health, it is more reasonable to steam it to eliminate fat. 4. It is best to kill and cook eels immediately before eating. Dead eels should not be eaten. 5. Tips for cleaning eels: Hook the eel with the middle finger joint of your left hand, then use a knife in your right hand to cut the eel's throat and anus, then insert a square bamboo chopstick into the cut in the throat and roll out the internal organs with force; dig out the fish gills with your hands, put the river eel into a large basin, pour boiling water into it and soak it, wait for the mucus to solidify, then use a dry cloth or a knife to remove the eel's silver scales, and finally rinse it repeatedly with clean water several times. The earthy smell of eels is similar to that of other freshwater farmed fish. The main cause is that the algae in the farming water, such as Oscillatoria and Anabaena, and the actinomycetes in the bacteria, produce chemicals that are released and dissolved in the water during their growth and reproduction, and penetrate into the eel muscles, causing the eel to have a specific earthy smell. Raising eels in earthen ponds uses algae to maintain the ecological environment of the pond water, consumes organic matter in the water body and some chemicals that are harmful to eels, and reduces the amount of water changes, which is conducive to the normal growth of eels. However, algae will multiply and grow rapidly in an environment with suitable water temperature conditions and rich organic matter content, producing a large amount of chemical substances. The silt at the bottom of the pond, the large amount of fecal secretions produced by eels, and the lost residual bait provide good nutritional conditions for the normal growth of algae. In seasons with high water temperatures, algae multiply in large numbers, and it is difficult to control the stability of the number of algae even if the amount of water changes is increased. Earthen ponds and large-scale intensive breeding ponds have conditions suitable for the growth and reproduction of algae and actinomycetes. Chemical substances produced by algae and other substances that cause the earthy smell of eels maintain a certain concentration in the breeding water for a long time, and the produced eels are prone to produce earthy smell, especially in the high temperature period from July to October. How to effectively prevent eels from producing earthy smell in the production of aquaculture? Controlling the bottom of the pond, reducing the content of sludge at the bottom of the pond, and reducing the source of organic matter in the water during the breeding process are the key. After a breeding cycle, the pond should be dried and exposed to the sun, and the sludge at the bottom of the pond should be cleaned out of the breeding pond. During the breeding process, the content of organic matter in the water should be controlled; water sources with less organic matter should be selected; the amount of water change should be increased; water quality improvers such as quicklime, zeolite powder, ion exchange and chelating agents, oxidants, etc. should be used regularly; and the use of microecological preparations is unique in stabilizing the algae phase, cultivating water color, and inhibiting the growth and reproduction of actinomycetes, oscillating algae, and fish algae. It can also use the strong selective ion exchange capacity of its molecular active groups to achieve the effect of regulating and improving the bottom quality. The regular use of microecological preparations can not only avoid many troubles and inconveniences such as disinfection due to large-scale water changes and reduced fish food intake, but is also economical and fast, and can fundamentally eliminate the generation of earthy smell. Eels that already have an earthy smell can be treated by hanging them in clean running water to remove the earthy smell. At the same time, the use of seaweed essence can achieve the dual effects of improving meat quality and eliminating the earthy smell. In short, regular use of microecological preparations to regulate water quality and adding seaweed essence to feed can effectively prevent the generation of earthy smell. |
