CATDOLL : Signs a cat hates another cat

Signs a cat hates another cat

Signs a cat hates another cat:

1. Because cats will not be willing to let new cats enter their territory if they hate cats.

2. When a cat hates another cat, they will not eat together and may even fight.

3. When a cat hates another cat, it will be hostile to it, and may even exclude it and not let it get close to itself and its owner. They will quarrel, fight, snatch food, and then destroy the other's food bowl, supplies, and toys.

4. Cats will ignore their owners and become indifferent and distant to them. When a new family member is welcomed, both kittens and puppies will obviously exclude the other party and therefore attack in order to attract the owner's attention and get more care from the owner.

How to get two cats who hate each other to get along:

1. After bringing a new cat home, put it directly in the prepared place. Do not let the two cats stay together. Don’t stay there for too long. Stay with the original cat for a while. Don’t go to see the new cat for the time being. Give it some time to adapt to the new environment.

2. After a period of time, let the new cat and the original cat have limited contact. It is best to have a glass door between them so that they can see each other but cannot touch each other. You can also open the door of the isolation area a little so that they can touch noses and wave their paws, but never have large-scale contact.

3. If cats that are not related meet, they will be hostile at first and threaten each other. Do not interfere or force them at this time. It is best to let them coordinate by themselves. After one to three days, cats will sniff each other's tails and put their noses together to confirm each other's existence. Unless they are very incompatible, they will usually establish a pattern of getting along and communication within a week.

4. Because there is an unspoken rule in the cat world that the first cat to come is the boss, so the owner must not neglect the original cat. If the original cat is neglected, it may affect its relationship with the new cat. A basic principle that the owner must abide by is not to treat the cat unequally.

5. Feed cats separately and do not share a bowl with multiple cats to avoid competition for food and make the relationship more tense. The kitten can be bathed with the bath gel used for the old cat first, because it can make the kitten smell closer to the old cat.
