2. How to keep Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs alive

I am a fisherman in Yangcheng Lake. I usually feed hairy crabs with:

Method 1

Store Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs in the refrigerator. If you buy a small number of hairy crabs and can eat them in about three days, it is relatively simple to store them: choose hairy crabs with vigor, tie up their legs to reduce their physical consumption, and then put them in the refrigerator, keep the temperature at 5-10 degrees, and cover them with a wet towel. When eating every day, eat the hairy crabs that are not vigorous first, and the hairy crabs with vigor can continue to be stored. The way to distinguish is: touch the eyes of the hairy crabs with your hands, and eat them first if they are not sensitive.

Method 2

Choose hairy crabs with vigor and vitality, prepare a 30-50 cm high plastic bucket/basin, put the hairy crabs in it without stacking; then add water to half the height of the hairy crabs' body, mainly to keep them moist, and do not bury the hairy crabs completely. Because you are unlikely to have oxygenation equipment, if the water is too deep, the crabs will suffocate and die due to lack of oxygen. The bucket/basin does not need to be covered, check the hairy crabs every day, and eat the hairy crabs with insufficient vitality in time. If this method is used to preserve Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs, the hairy crabs can be preserved for more than 5 days when the temperature is not high.

Method 3

If you buy too many Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs to eat in three to five days, the best way to preserve them is to use your bathtub as a temporary storage pond for the hairy crabs to enjoy: because the bathtub walls are smooth, the hairy crabs cannot escape, then gently pour the hairy crabs into the bathtub, fill it with water until it is just buried, so that the hairy crabs can stand up on the water surface and breathe, and add a small amount of small fish and shrimp according to the storage time and quantity. This method can generally store Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs for more than 7 days or longer, and the survival rate of Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs of good quality can reach more than 95%. In addition, check the hairy crabs every day and eat the hairy crabs that are not energetic enough in time.

How to store cooked hairy crabs:

Cooked crabs stored in storage are very easy to be contaminated by bacteria, so crabs should be cooked and eaten immediately, not stored. If you can't finish them, the remaining must be stored in a clean, cool and ventilated place (preferably in the refrigerator), and must be cooked and steamed thoroughly before eating. Do not eat crabs that are more than 5 days old.

Method 1 for preserving hairy crabs

Store Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs in the refrigerator. As we all know, Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs are freshwater products. They have a short shelf life after leaving the water. The hairy crabs that can be eaten in about three days are relatively easy to store: choose hairy crabs with vigor, tie up the legs and hairy crabs of Yangcheng Lake to reduce the hairy crabs' physical consumption, and then store them in the refrigerator at a temperature of (6-13 degrees), cover with a wet towel and store. When eating every day, choose the hairy crabs that are not vigorous enough to eat first, and the hairy crabs with sufficient vitality can continue to be stored.

The way to distinguish them is to touch the crab's eyes gently with your hand, and if it does not react quickly, eat it first.

Method 2 for preserving hairy crabs

Use plastic buckets/basins to store Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs. Choose Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs that are full of vitality, prepare a 30-50 cm high plastic bucket/basin with a smooth inner wall that is not easy to escape. Put the Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs in it - do not stack them; then add water to half the height of the hairy crabs - mainly to keep them moist, do not bury the hairy crabs completely. Because individuals usually do not have oxygen-enhancing equipment, if the water is too deep, the crabs will suffocate and die due to lack of oxygen. The bucket/basin does not need to be covered, check the hairy crabs every day, and eat the hairy crabs that are not energetic enough in time. If this method is used to store Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs, the hairy crabs can be stored for more than 5 days when the temperature is not high.

Method 3 for preserving hairy crabs

Preserve Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs in a temporary holding pond. If the amount of Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs you purchased is too much to eat in three to five days, you cannot store them using the above method. The best way is to use your bathtub as a temporary holding pond for the Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs to enjoy. Because the bathtub walls are smooth, the hairy crabs cannot escape. Then pour the Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs gently into the bathtub and fill it with water until the hairy crabs are just covered. If the hairy crabs stand up their eight legs, they can breathe on the water surface. Depending on the storage time and quantity, add a small amount of small fish and shrimp. Using this method to store Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs can generally last for more than 7 days or longer. The survival rate of Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs of good quality can reach more than 95%. In addition, check the hairy crabs every day and eat the hairy crabs that are not energetic enough in time.

Hairy crabs are cool-loving animals, so try to keep them in cold water and turn on an oxygen-deficient machine. In this way, they will not die for several months. If it is only for a short period of time, you can put some ice cubes at the bottom of the foam box, separate it with something in the middle, and then put the crabs on top. If the temperature is suitable, it will be fine to keep it for a week.

It's very simple. Just find a basin and buy an aerator.

If you buy it, just put it in the refrigerator and it will last for many days.

I learned about the fact that hairy crabs are afraid of heat but not cold and can be stored at low temperatures from Suzhou Crab Network.

3. How to breed hairy crabs

1. Environment: The breeding environment of hairy crabs is not complicated. You can choose a clean and pollution-free water area for breeding. It is best to choose lake water breeding. If the lake water is connected to other water areas, you can build a sluice and carry out corresponding drainage projects.

2. Select excellent breeding stock: Before breeding, you should select high-quality hairy crabs for breeding. Since it is the first time to breed, combined with factors such as the water environment, the survival rate may be low.

3. Feeding: Hairy crabs should be fed with small fish fry, and it is best to keep the fry alive, because dead fish can easily lead to the death of hairy crabs.

4. Improve water quality: You can properly grow some aquatic plants in the water, which can improve the water environment and make the water less turbid.
