CATDOLL: What are the methods to get rid of cockroaches? How to get rid of cockroaches quickly?

Since summer, mosquitoes are coming. The most annoying thing at home should be cockroaches, especially in various storage cabinets. So what are the ways to get rid of cockroaches? Let's follow me to learn about it.

What are the methods to remove cockroaches?

First of all, we need to know that cockroaches are omnivorous insects. They can tolerate hunger but not thirst, so they like places with heavy oil smoke and humidity. When we plan to eliminate them, we should first block the water source and remove the oil smoke and humid places. Use a medicine pen to draw horizontal lines around the sink, toilet and refrigerator base to prevent it from passing through. You can also put poison bait to kill cockroaches in this place. Let the cockroaches contact the poison bait in the process of drinking water or eating and be poisoned until they die. In fact, laundry detergent is also a good medicine to lure and kill cockroaches, and its effect is even better than some chemical pesticides. The method is to sprinkle the laundry detergent in places where cockroaches often appear, and they will die after eating it. Soapy water can also kill cockroaches. The method is to put the soap in 3-4 liters of hot water and wait for it to dissolve, and then spray it on the visible cockroaches in a spray way, which can also poison them. You can also mix borax and flour together, and then add a small amount of sugar. After mixing, make rice-sized balls and sprinkle them in places where cockroaches often appear, and kill cockroaches when they pass by and eat. You can also use baking soda to kill cockroaches. To use it, mix baking soda and sugar in a one-to-one ratio and place it in places where cockroaches are present. After about 3-15 days, the cockroaches will run away. It is said that this method is more common abroad.

How to Get Rid of Cockroaches Quickly

1. Aerosol insecticide is the most powerful weapon to kill cockroaches quickly. It is generally sold in supermarkets and grocery stores. It is the kind of spray that kills mosquitoes, termites, etc. It is suitable for killing cockroaches in most spaces. Close the windows, block all possible air holes, and then spray a large amount of insecticide in every corner. Hold your breath, leave the room quickly after spraying, close the doors and windows for more than 30 minutes, and then open the doors and windows for ventilation. Note that the amount must be large, so that the cockroaches can be killed thoroughly and quickly.

2. Some places sell cockroach-killing incense, which can be used to kill cockroaches. Although cockroach-killing incense is specifically for cockroaches, it is often difficult to kill them completely and quickly with conventional dosage. Therefore, to achieve a complete and quick killing effect, you need to double the dosage, and you cannot use conventional slow fumigation. You need to operate similarly to the mosquito coils mentioned above.

3. Ordinary mosquito coils can also be used to remove cockroaches on a large scale. One box of mosquito coils is used for every 30 cubic meters of space. If there are a lot of sundries, more can be used. Grind the mosquito coils into powder, then close the windows, seal the air vents in the room, and light a brazier in the middle of the house. When the fire is strong, pour the mosquito coil powder into the brazier, quickly leave the room, close the door, and suffocate for more than 30 minutes, then open the doors and windows for ventilation. The amount of mosquito coils used must be large. If the amount is small, the cockroaches cannot be killed by smoke. Even if they can be killed, the speed is slow and the effect is not good.

4. Some places sell special cockroach-killing powders, or highly effective broad-spectrum insecticide powders, which are generally available in grocery stores. The conventional method of killing cockroach powders is to sprinkle these powders on the places where cockroaches must pass and near their nests, and then wait for the cockroaches to come out and die. The effect is often not fast or thorough, especially for those gaps and dead corners that cannot be sprinkled. Therefore, you can put the powder at the door of the cockroaches' home, and then use a blower or hair dryer to blow the cockroach-killing powder into the nest, which will greatly improve the effect and kill faster.
