CATDOLL: How to adopt bees without a king (what bees without a king would be like)

1. How to keep a swarm of bees if there is no queen?

Can't raise it.

A single bee should be considered a cell of an animal, and a bee colony is a complete animal. Without a queen, it is equivalent to brain death, and the bee colony is finished.

If a queenless bee colony is mixed with other colonies, it will be immediately attacked and eliminated, just like the rejection function of human cells.

If you want to assign a queen to a bee colony, that's fine, but the problem is that it's very difficult to find a queen. Even if you find a superfluous queen, it will inevitably destroy a new colony that is about to be born.

You said "I just caught a swarm of bees". Since it is a swarm of bees, they can gather together, which means they have a king. Bees without a king cannot gather together and fly all over the sky.

2. How to keep bees without a queen bee?

There are certain conditions that need to be met to successfully raise a bee colony without a queen bee, but as long as the conditions are met, it can still be raised.

Conditions for breeding kingless groups:

In fact, for a queenless colony, only two conditions need to be met to keep it alive, especially for the queenless colony that collects honey and pollen normally, the probability of successful keeping is very high.

First: There is a queen cell in the bee colony

If there is no queen in our bee colony, but there are still queen cells in the bee colony, no matter whether the queen cells are mature or not, as long as the queen cells are good, this bee colony can be kept. As long as the queen cells are capped and the new queen comes out of the cell to mate, the bee colony will soon return to normal. This kind of queen is urgently made, the quality is not good, and it will be replaced in advance, but it is still good for our emergency response, at least a bee colony can be saved.

Second: There are no queen cells in the bee colony, but only egg and larvae spleens

If there are no queen cells in our bee colony, don't worry. You can check whether there are egg and larvae combs in the bee colony. It must be queen eggs, not worker bee eggs. If the queen is lost for a short time, queen cells will not be produced immediately in the bee colony. Generally, many emergency queen cells will appear in one or two days. Such a bee colony will return to normal after the emergency queen lays eggs. The situation is the same as above. It is easy to replace in advance, which is OK for emergency.

3. How to raise a bee colony without a queen and spleen?

If the queenless and comb-less bee colony is an egg colony, it will be merged into other bee colonies. If it is a strong colony, take a piece of paper with eggs, pollen and honey from other bee colonies and insert it into the queenless colony. The bees will immediately settle down to protect the comb and the eggs.

4. What should bees do if they have no queen and hive?

Without a queen and a hive, bees will face a survival dilemma. Because the queen bee is the core of the entire bee colony, without a queen bee there will be no new bee larvae and new worker bees, soldier bees and other members, and the survival of the entire colony will be greatly affected. At the same time, the hive is a very important part of the life of bees. Without a hive, bees have no safe residence and no energy storage space, and it is difficult to cope with challenges such as extreme weather and food shortages. If this happens, we can consider introducing queen bees and providing hives for bees to live in. Queen bees can reproduce naturally or introduce artificially bred king bees. As for the hive, artificial beehives can be set up for bees to live. On the premise of ensuring environmental hygiene and beekeeping technology, we can provide bees with a good living condition so that they can safely survive the winter and other adverse environmental conditions.
