CATDOLL: Is it okay to add lime water to the shrimp ponds where there is too much rain, which leads to excessive carbon dioxide and acidic water? Does it have any effect on the shrimp and water quality?

If the hardness of the water is not too high (less than 80DH), lime water is usually used to solve the acidity of the pool water after the rain. Of course, if you want to be safe, you can buy more lime before the rain (one ton is not too much) and pile it by the pool. After the rain, scrape off the lime powder on the surface, soak it overnight, and sprinkle it all over the pool the next morning. The general dosage is 5-10 catties per mu once every 2-3 days
