CATDOLL : Can cats eat Wangzai buns?

Can cats eat Wangzai buns?

Cats can eat a small amount of Wangzai steamed buns. It is usually not recommended to feed cats with Wangzai steamed buns. Since the main ingredients of Wangzai steamed buns are starch, eggs and wheat flour, cats' teeth are mainly used to cut food and their chewing function is relatively poor. Foods such as Wangzai steamed buns that melt quickly after entering the mouth will cause oral discomfort to cats.

What foods can’t cats eat?

1. Vegetables include potatoes, Chinese toon, broccoli, taro, spinach, houttuynia, mushrooms, ginger, and onions, leeks, green onions and other alliums. Allium vegetables contain ingredients that destroy cats' red blood cells, causing hemolytic anemia in cats, hematuria, vomiting, fever and other symptoms, and in the most serious cases, death of cats.

2. Milk. Cats have weak stomachs and intestines. Many cats are lactose intolerant. Drinking milk can easily cause vomiting and diarrhea. However, there are some exceptions to this rule (such as Shuhua milk). But try to choose cat-specific food.

3. Alcoholic beverages. Ethanol is a component of alcoholic beverages. If consumed in excess, it can cause poisoning in cats, destroying their brain cells and body cells, causing symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, breathing difficulties, and nervous system abnormalities.

4. Snacks such as chocolate, coffee, and other foods containing a lot of theobromine and caffeine, as well as all nuts, are not allowed for cats, as they will be poisoned. The salt content in ham sausage is high, and excessive intake of salt by cats will increase the burden on the kidneys, and will also cause their hair to become dry and frizzy, and even cause hair loss. Also, canned tuna for human consumption is not allowed, because these foods lack the vitamins and minerals needed by cats, which will cause malnutrition in cats. As well as seasonings, high-salt or greasy foods, cats are not allowed to eat them, otherwise it will aggravate tear marks and hair loss.

5. Fruits include apples, grapes, carambolas, avocados, persimmons, mangoes, peaches, cherries, pomegranates, pears, as well as acidic fruits such as lemons, tangerines, passion fruit, grapefruits, oranges, plums, and apricots. Acidic fruits can irritate the cat's stomach and intestines, causing vomiting and diarrhea. Raisins are also not to be eaten, as they can cause kidney failure in cats, just like grapes.

6. Shellfish such as shrimp, shellfish, dried fish flakes, and dried fish will hinder the absorption of vitamin B by cats, so try not to feed them. Moreover, the strong taste of these seafood may also make cats develop the habit of heavy taste and picky eating.

7. Flowers and plants include Monstera, Bird of Paradise, Tiger Piramid, Spring Feather, Dracaena, Weeping Alocasia, ivy, green radish, lily, hydrangea, chrysanthemum, oleander, tulip, poinsettia, and Polygonum multiflorum. Many poisonous plants are irritating, especially to the gastrointestinal tract, so the best way is to keep cats away from plants.

8. Cats cannot eat fish bones and other small bones of poultry, because these may cause digestive system problems for cats, scratch the esophagus and block the intestines.

9. Do not feed cats raw meat, raw fish, raw eggs or other raw foods, because they contain a lot of bacteria and can easily cause cats to be infected with bacteria.

10. Cats cannot eat animal livers. Eating livers for a long time can easily lead to calcium deficiency. The liver is rich in vitamin A. Excessive intake can cause abnormal bone development and lead to vitamin A poisoning in cats.

11. Do not feed cats leftovers for a long time. Cats are carnivores and have a high demand for protein. Otherwise, it is easy to cause malnutrition in cats.
